How We Do It

Because we are continuously on-site, we offer on-call assistance to hotel management to observe and assess needs 24/7.  Our language training utilizes a communicative model.  We actively engage with employees as they work.  We observe, record and correct errors and miscommunications as they occur.  We are language partners/collaborators.  We utilize a “Natural Approach” to language learning by emphasizing real world situations and language needs.

  • We address varied employee needs at all levels of proficiency:  beginners, intermediates and advanced.
  • We also offer training for supervisors in how to use our “Words For Work”, a follow up program after formal Hotel Language Builders classes have ended.  We include “Words For Work” because language learning is a gradual process that must be reinforced and continued for optimal success.
  • Hotel Language Builders also collaborates with management to create a needs assessment document that pinpoints particular focus areas (e.g., Accent Reduction for Management or Front Desk Personnel, Handling Guest Requests for Housekeeping Staff, Handling Complaints for Restaurant Wait Staff, etc.)
